Hello Autumn
Your grey overcoat brings little cheer,
but hello autumn, I have nothing to fear.
The sun still shines, the birds still sing,
but walking requires extra layers within.
Yearling leaves find the dance too heavy,
layering for a mud wrapped hiking levy.
Sunbrellas make way for stoves and smoke,
White, brown and blue, wood or coke?
Hello autumn, I’ve nothing to fear,
just a passing station before the Christmas cheer.
